How ClimRadar checks Midea PortaSplit stock
ClimRadar doesn't estimate the Midea PortaSplit's availability: it checks it live, every 10 minutes, on retailers' websites. Here's exactly how — and what we do when we can't.

Every status shown comes from a real read of the retailer's website or API. No estimates, no invented data — every figure on this page is a live reading.
Rechecked every 10 minutes
Availability is fetched automatically at a cadence specific to each retailer — from every 15 seconds (Optimea, the official reseller) to every 5–10 minutes for most, some less often. The exact time of the last reading is shown for every store, so you can gauge it yourself.
Absence over invention
When a website is protected against automated collection and no direct reading is possible, we show nothing. This absence is honest information — not a phantom stock.
The alert goes out first — and verified
As soon as a restock is detected, the subscribers concerned are notified instantly — the alert goes out before the site is republished. And an alert is only sent after verification: the restock must match the right product at the right price, and a mere site flicker triggers nothing. Better to stay silent than to alert for nothing.
How we choose the models we track
ClimRadar doesn't track the whole market: we curate a short list of quality air conditioners and tell you which ones are actually on shelves near you. The selection is part of the service. Every candidate model must pass all four criteria below — if it fails a single one, it stays out.

Serious press reviews, a reliable brand and honest specifications: we publish measured noise levels, not marketing figures.
Sold in physical stores in France
A model sold only online or through marketplace sellers has no per-store stock: there is nothing to check. At least one French retailer with physical stores is required.
Current range
Never an end-of-life model: a radar pointed at a product retailers are delisting would show “out of stock” forever. We track the generation stores actually restock.
Real radar value
The model must face genuine stock tension or genuine “is it available?” demand. A product that is always on the shelf doesn't need a radar.

Why don't you track model X? In most cases: because it fails one of the four criteria — marketplace-only sales, an end-of-life generation, or no French retailer with physical stores. The list grows as soon as a model passes the charter — never before its live collection actually works.
How a reading is built
Each cycle queries the availability systems of the retailers we track — the same ones that power their websites and apps — store by store when the retailer exposes that data, online otherwise. No extrapolation: a reading corresponds to a real response from the retailer at the moment of collection.
Each response is then validated before publication: the product must be formally identified (the exact reference, not a title that looks similar), the price must be plausible for that product, and the status must be consistent with the previous reading. A restock is only published after confirmation across two consecutive cycles — this is what prevents false alerts caused by glitches on retail sites.
The validated dataset is published in one block — alerts go out to the subscribers concerned before that republication even happens.
What we refuse to display
An absent, null, or implausible price is never displayed or used: values outside the plausibility bounds for a product are rejected at collection. A blank field is better than a wrong price.
A product the system cannot identify with certainty triggers neither display nor alert. Likewise, a retailer with no usable response appears as 'no reading available' rather than with a guessed availability.
This discipline has a cost: this page may sometimes show less information than a competitor's site. That is a deliberate choice — every piece of data displayed here has been genuinely collected and can be dated.

Some retailers (Darty, Fnac, ManoMano…) protect their websites against automated collection. When we can't get a direct reading, we leave them as 'monitored' and show no stock for them — never an estimate. The 'last cycle' may therefore vary from hour to hour depending on what we were actually able to read.
